ARR Projects
Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation, commonly referred as ARR are land-use activities that are designed to enhance carbon sequestration by increasing vegetation cover, especially trees, in areas where it has been lost or did not exist before. Afforestation projects occupy a sweet spot in the carbon removal space as they are a natural and proven way to remove carbon and come with a more affordable price tag than most other removal options. ARR activities also result in improvement of soil health, increase in water table, enhancement of biodiversity at the same time the tree produce generates direct livelihood for the local community.
